We are committed to continuous improvement in our Corporate and Social Responsibility strategy, acting in a socially responsible way, working with clients and suppliers to support shared goals, complying with applicable legislation and encouraging our people to be mindful of the effect of their actions on natural resources.
Environment And Carbon Emissions
The Board is aware of the impact OPAL’s activities can have on the environment and is committed to minimising our environmental footprint. Key targets for 2026 include reducing waste, reducing carbon emissions, recording and reporting for ESG and EDI purposes, and engaging clients to digitalise processes and collaborate on sustainability projects.
Reduce waste
Continually reduce operational waste and encourage recycling, reuse and responsible disposal.
Reduce carbon emissions
Actively manage our activities to reduce carbon impact across travel, energy use and operations.
ESG and EDI reporting
Record and report relevant activity for ESG and EDI purposes.
Client collaboration
Engage clients to digitalise processes and collaborate on sustainability projects that reduce carbon output and waste.

Environment
Our objective is to reduce our impact on the environment through continual improvement.
- Work with suppliers and clients to reduce environmental impact.
- Encourage email and electronic formats rather than paper where possible.
- Use teleconferencing to reduce unnecessary travel.
- Recover, reuse and recycle printer cartridges, paper shredding and cardboard.
- Encourage switching off lights and electrical equipment when not in use.
